Today we learned about the Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
If everyone works towards these the world should be a fairer place by 2030.
We talked about Fair Trade and footballs.
The BALA footballs are more expensive but because they are fairtrade we know they are made ethically.

We already DO make a difference with things like Fair Trade and Bag the Bruck & Pick Up Three Pieces, but can we do more....?

ReplyDeleteIt was very interesting and intreging and I new allot more about the world and its inviroment Anuss and Steve explained the fairtrade and all the charities very well and they did good on a little play and it was very fun so i would give the day as a great thumbs up.

ReplyDeleteHi class 6 I really enjoyed the visit from Steve and Hannis. They told us about how fair trade works for example someone might of worked all day on a football then someone buys it of you for £2 but he/she deserves much more but if it has a fair trade sticker on it then its sold for the fair price. We can help the world by invent inactivate and campaign we can achieve all the global goals by 2030

Hi everyone on the Friday the 10th of February Steve and Hannes came in we were learning about the Global Goals it was really interesting and fun to learn about. We learned about how things should change and help our planet by doing more like pick up three pieces, picking things up from the sea all those things that can help us. We also learnt about some children work in factory's and they don't get to go to school and get educated and if you see a fair trade mark you will help some people to go to school get food and get clean water. I really learn a lot about this. Kaylen

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the visit from Steve and Hannis. They told us all about fairtrade and a girl called Malla who was shot cause pepole did not want her to go to school, Malla's goal is to stop gobal warming by 2030. There is a company called globel goals for sutanibull develoment,There is 17 goal to complete be 2030 and she need your help. I think we shold STOP littering - MAKE sure all CHILDREN have SCHOOL - MAKE sure all HUMANS
have CLEAN FOOD and WATER but we cant do it without your help.

I really enjoyed learning the global goals. my granny does fair trade chutney in Westray and i was proud to mention it in a talk with Steven and Hannes. we learned about the 17 global goals we need to do by 2030. we talked about the global goals and being fair trade. thank you for paying attention Sofia
ReplyDeleteI thought that their presentation was very good I think they laded it out so that no one got bored and everyone was listing to them. I liked it it was interesting to learn about the globe goals my favorite goal was the clean water goal.

hi class 6 i enjoyed steven and hannes coming in to tell us about the global goals. Hannes was all the way from Sweden! they both told us a lot of information about global goals also a little bit about fairtrade. I was suprised when sofia told them about her grannys chutney and they both went to westray and bought some.They also showed us a few videos about global goals.also they told us that we are going to try to finish all 17 of the global goals by 2030. I hope they come again. jennifer
