The Bigger Picture

On Tuesday and Wednesday we had an assembly and a workshop with Adrian all about 'being the change we want to see' and behaving in the best way possible in our 'village'. We all had a fantastic time (including the teachers) joining in with the drama activities.
Please leave a comment below to share what you think the best part of the activities was and why, and what you think you learned.

  1. Wow! He was really hilarious. At the start of the assembly he did not speak; all he did was dot hings with his fingers and hands. I had a few favorite things about the workshop. They are that Adrian kept on calling people names like "good hair" and "Gryffindor." He kept on calling us young adults, to show respect. When you looked around the room the first thing that you see is everyone with their eyes fixed on him. That was a good sign, and it could probaly help people elsewhere.
We will miss him so much.

  4. I loved doing the tableaux because all the scenes Adrian got us to do were very funny and we could be very creative with what we did and how we did them.

  5. Adrian was a whole load of fun, in assembly it was amazing about how good he was about acting out stories from real life, he called everyone young adults and funny nicknames, he called Dan good hair" which was funny, he called Hermione "Gryffindor". In the assembly Adrian made a funny joke about how Katie in Class 5 had turned a puppet into a jumper. When it was just p6 and 7's Adrian did fun games, he was great fun and I wish we will all see him again. Jenna

  6. Adrian is such a cherry chap he did an anti-bullying workshop all through our school. I liked how he called us young men and women I have never been called that but I liked it made me feel like I had a sense of responsibility. When he did a workshop with our class we played a concentration, focus and listening game. When Adrian said go we walked when he said stop we stop and jump we jumped and clap we clapped. After we played that for a little while he reversed it so go is stop clap is jump and jump is clap I almost screwed up once but luckily did the right thing so I did not look like a fool. I would like to say than you Adrian for teaching me a valuable lesson on that subject. We will all miss you Adrian thank you Ellen

  9. Adrian (also known as AD) came to our school to try and start anti-bulling and he was really inspiring. He made us feel responsible by calling us responsible adults. I loved his visit he helped us learn about bulling as a problem but we learnt it in a humorous way thanks to AD. He did a whole school assembly and did workshops with each individual class. I really enjoyed the workshops where we did a couple of games and made statues on our own and the in groups (a group statue with many people we learnt is called a tablos) Kiera Clancy

  10. Adi was a very funny person and taught us a lot through his visit at Glaitness. I enjoyed his jokes and he helped us realise that P6 and P7 are the adults of the school and we have to show a good example. He also told us to treat each other like brothers and sisters.

  11. Ade was really funny and fun but also serious when he needed to be. I feel like he taught me a lot about confidence. I really enjoyed his visit and I wish he could have stayed here longer.

  12. Adrian's visit was a very good experience. He taught us that you should always treat people like they are your family even if there not. He also made us feel like responsible by calling us responsible adults. he told us that we are responsible for our actions no one else is. I loved having Adrian at our school he could teach us very serious things and still be very fun. Anna Corsie
