Sports day!
On Friday
the 10th of June 2016 it was sports day. Everyone was excited. When
we walked over to picky all the stations were set up. The different races were the
relay race, the obstacle race and the normal races. First p4-5 did the relay
race and p6-7 did the obstacle course and p1-3 did the normal races. When
everyone had gone round all of the races we all gathered together around Mrs
Miller. P5-7 did the 400m (once around the picky track) and when they were
finished we announced the winning team and it was GRAIN- WELL DONE!

ReplyDeleteToday was a great day for the walk up Wideford Hill, sorry to have missed that. Did you enjoy it? Was it tiring? I'm sure it was an superb view from the top. I wonder if you saw anything interesting or unusual that we hadn't seen before on our trips to Muddisdale...
hi ms Mackay i loved sports day it was so fun my favourite race was the three legged race i was with jake and we came first. Walking up wideford hill was tyring it was a long steep walk but we all got a high five from mrs Tulip when we got to the top our reward was eating our lunch i thought it was the best reward ever (because i was so hungry).
DeleteHi Mrs Mackay My favorite race was running race because I came second. I enjoyed the walk up to wideford hill but it was really tiring we played a game called scatter and other games like we got a card and we had to look for that flower. Hope you get better soon.

DeleteI had so much fun at sports day. My favourite race was the running race and the sack race. It was very fun walking up wideford with every one but it was very tiring. I liked to look from the top of the hill. It was a great view. When we stopped of at Muddildale we had to make nature art out of flowers and plants in groups, I was in a group with Erin K, Jennifer and Aneisha. Aneisha found caterpillar and named it Samuel, She wanted to keep it but on the way down for wideford she lost it.

Hi Ms Mackay I liked sports day very much. My favorite race was the running race because I was first and because I am very fast. I liked watching the obstacle race too because there is so much obstacles and it is very fun to watch.I enjoyed the trip to Wide ford hill and it was very tiring walking up the hill it was a very good view from the top.

Hi Miss Mackay my favourite race was the three legged race me and Ryan came second. It took ages to get up Wideford hill. It was tiring at the top we saw some peet bogs and we played some games. Then we went back down the hill.

ReplyDeleteIt was great fun doing sports day I was in ayre but we did'nt win first class 4 and5 did the relay.Ayre won and grain came second and then corse.Next we did the obsticle corse and we won again. next it was the races we did'nt do as well grain was wining until the 400m race I came first but it was'nt enouf to poot us in the lead . ReplyDeleteHi I realy enjoyed Wideford hill but it was very tiring the vew wsa great!It was a very long walk espcially with all of our lunch.When we got to the top we all had lunch it was a well deservrd break for everyone and was enjoyable.we were very lucky it was such good weather so we could have fun.We played game caled scater when someone was the leader of the line we would follow the leader around the top of Wideford and when the leader said scatter we had to run and hide. We ha ten seconds to hide and if you were found you went to join the line.On the way down it was a lot easier because we had less weight to carry and it was down hill but befour we left we had to LEAVE NO TRACE.I rely enjoyed our trip evin if it was tiring. ReplyDeleteon sports day we started by doing the relay race the relay race was won by AYRE came first CORSE came second and GRAIN came last for the relay race. After we finished that race we rested for a while I was watching the sack race and my peedie brother Evan came first. In the three legged race me and Erin.k were pairs and we fell once but we came fourth.
ReplyDeletewe were both happy but annoyed because if we didn't trip we would've probably come third. I also got a mark from where we fell because the band was quite tight around our ankles. in the end GRAIN won CORSE came second and AYRE came last. I'm in AYRE and I'm happy because like daisy said we carried on coming last. Sofia

On Friday it was sports day for Glaitness school we had lots of raises everyone did a good job in the relay Ayre came first in ther relay then Course came secand then Grain came last but for the hole sports day Grain WON then Course then last was Ayar but every one did a good job well done.

Yesterday we walked up Wideford Hill with the other class fives and we all made it to the top some of the people went on a bus. when I was walking up I met this lady called persephoni and me and Darby were talking to her for awhile until we sat down for a rest for a minute or two. when we made it to the top we had lunch and then played a few games one was called scatter and we also played this game were you have to find something etc: yellow and fluffy. overall it was great fun but tiring for a vast amount of us. My favorite race was the obstacle course my cup tipped over and I lost half of my water.I liked doing all the other races I came third with Caitlin in the bib band and hoop race.The placings at the end where last place Ayre second place Course and first place Grain. I am in Ayre so that was a bit disappointing but it was a really good day and really good fun with great sportsmanship.Yesterday we where at Wideford hill we stopped at a lot of places on the way there. The first stop was at muddisdale. It was really good fun because we did some lad art in groups of 4 or 5. I was working with Erin.R, Lauren and Darby. We made a flower of flowers. We used buttercups for the inside and daisy's for the petals. We used a stick we found on the ground and two do-can leaves for the stem. After that we walked across the road and up hill. Walking up the hill was hard but walking down was easier. At the top of the hill we played some games. The first thing we did was have to find some thing the color of the color card she gave us but it had to be natural. Then we had to find something the same color but we also got an adjective our's was round. We couldn't find anything our color and round. Then we got a thing we had to find. The first thing we got was a red clover but we couldn't find anything so we had to get another. We then got a type of moss that we found easily. She then gave us another card and lots of people where working on this one I can't remember the name of it but it was flat on the ground.then we played scatter it was this really fun game when there was a leader and you followed them them and then they said scatter and you went and hid but you only had ten seconds then they had to stand on the same spot and had ten seconds to find you. After that we went back it was a really dun trip and i hope we do something like it again soon.Daisy
ReplyDeleteIm quite sad I was not there but iI had lots of fun in Inverness it took 6.30 hours to get to camp and me and Scott hardly got to see one and other the next day we played kick rounders unfortunately a girl called Zoe broke there collar bone it was sad. Tyler

ReplyDeleteI had loads of fun at sports day. My favourite race was the obstacle course because it found it really fun and at some parts challenging. Also I really enjoyed Wideford hill. It was a tiring walk but it was worth it in the end. At the top there was a lovely view. Then we had our lunch it was nice to have some lunch after a big walk. After we all had our lunch we played two games. The first one was a game when we where given a card with a type of plant and we had to try and find it, it was quite hard. After a while we played another game called scatter. First we all lined up and there was a leader who lead us around. Then the had to shout scatter. The rest of us had 10 seconds to go and hide then the leader had 10 seconds to find as many people as posible. Then we had to go back a lady called Linsey told me,Cierra and Kaylen all about the plants and wild animals. I had so much fun I cant wait for another trip like Wideford. Lauren
On Friday we did sports day the first race we did was the relay race Ayre came first Corse came second and Grain came third then we did.The obstacle corse first we got a cup and put water in it.Then we went through a hoop then we put our feet through tyres. Then we went under a net then over a rugby tackle bag then put the water in a tub.And Ayre won in p5 and p4 .Then we did the running race there was group a and b. I was in group b and I came third then we did the three legged race.I did it with Paige and we came sixth then we did the sack race.I came 5th place then we did a nuther running race we did it with our three legged race part.We had to run to a hoop get a bib on and then get in the hoop and run. We came 6th place then Erlend and jake did the 400 meter run. Erlend came first and jake came 4th then we went to see who came 1st 2nd and 3rd. Ayre came 3rd Corse came 2nd and Grain came first.Cameron
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed sports day it was on Friday the 10th first we had to go to our mats all the classes had their own mats. We did the relay race first Ayer came first Course came second and Grain came last but it was close. Then we rotated around then we did the obstacle course it was hard beacause we had to try to get as much water as possible in to the bucket but we had to use a cup and Ayre won that Course came second and Grain came last then we rotated once more. It was the four races the flat race the three legged race sack race and the band bib hoop race after that people from you house had to do the 400m run and that was between the P5 and P4/5 then it was the P6 after the P6 it was the P7 then we added up the scores and Grain won Course came second and Ayre came last.

ReplyDeleteHi class 5 on Friday the 9th of June glaitness took part in sports day the school was split into three houses: GRAIN, Corse and Ayre the activities were the relay race the obstacle course the three legged race the sac race and finally the 400m relay race then after that we saw the final scores it 183 points for Grain 172 points for Corse and 168 points for Ayre. so Grain WON and I was in Grain!! Also the two team captains came to the front to collect the trophy.

Hi everyone I had a great sports day did you?. I'm in Grain. Our first race was the relay race Ayre came first then it was Corse and Grain came last unfortunately. Then obstacle coarse Ayre came first again then Grain came second then Corse came last. Those races were fun what did you think about those two races?. After those two races and then it was the running race I came fourth . Another race was the Three legged race I was with Aneisha for it and we came first for our teams she was in Ayre. Then it was the sack race I came second. It was really fun on sports day I hope you had fun to?. Then we added the score up Ayre came 3rd Corse came 2nd and Grain came first. Well done Ayre and Corse it was very close the scores so just well done. Kaylen
