Today in Redland and Greenland the harvest celebrations were held in a festive atmosphere but shortly after the singing, dancing and eating the Greenlanders discovered their high hopes for a bumper harvest had been shattered. The crops had failed to give the harvest expected and much was lying in the fields uncut and rotting. Unfortunately shortly after they realised the problem a refugee crisis occurred.

Bluelanders, some very ill from unknown causes, arrived starving at the border of Greenland. Pleading to be let in the Greenlanders decided to allow them to enter their country and they were given an area to wait in while discussions about what to do with them began. The Greenlanders quickly realised that they did not have enough food for themselves and the refugees so an international conference was necessary and an the invitation of the President of Redland was accepted by the Queen of Greenland. The citizens of both countries held a debate chaired by their leaders while the Bluelanders watched. Eventually the Bluelanders were allowed to make their case for being allowed to stay.

The Queen of Greenland reminded everyone of their laws and obligations to look after those in need and declared she was disappointed with some of the reactions of her citizens. The Queen and President then had a private talks at which it was decided to let the Bluelanders stay. They also made a promise that in the future citizens of Greenland and Redland would go with the Bluelanders to Blueland and help them build up their country again.
I liked being a red lander i was the farmer and security gars i was a lot of fun i hope we do it again.

I liked being a Blue Lander it was fun.Also it was fun being a Red Lander the harvest festival was hard work but worth it at the end.In the harvest festival I was eating at the picnic. I hope we do something like this again. Aiden

ReplyDeleteIt was so fun doing Redland and Greenland the I was the present of Redland and we were doing a harvest festival my group the Redlanders went first and we did a picnic with a song and dance I think we did very well next Greenlanders went and they did a little game and song it was so fun being present and I hope we do it again. ReplyDeleteI was a Redlander for quite some time until I left with Robert,Lauren, Aiden and Jake to start our own Nation we called it Blueland. One day while we were playing on the beach a tidal wave came and washed us away our leader was trapped on the Island so we had no. we washed up on Greenland where Aiden was very sick we needed to save him. The Greenlanders gave us shelter until we were brought into Redland where they had a debate about us and taking us in. we offered everything we had until the Queen and the President had a private meeting. the Greenlanders and Redlanders asked us questions about how we would help as we were going to help them on there farms. The Queen and President came back in with a final answer. It was a great way of using Integrity, Compassion and Empathy. I was very impressed with the way they were taking it seriously. Sofia
ReplyDeleteHi everyone I was a Redlander for a while until I had to leave Redland to become a Bluelander with Sofia,Aiden,Robert and Jake. Our story was that a tidal wave came and washed us out to sea. Then we washed up on the shore of Greenland and begged for food and shelter. Soon after a while Greenland gave us some shelter but Redland and Greenland had a debate about keeping us in the country. Greenlands and Redlands leaders both decided to keep us and in return we would work for both countries. Hope we carry on with this drama. Lauren
ReplyDeleteWe were doing more Redland and Greenland. We did our anual harvest festival but Greenland didn't have that good of harvest then some refuges came from blue land and they were poor and sick so Greenland helped them but they didnt have enough food so Redland gave themsome food.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the Redland and Greenland drama. When we found out that there was Bluelanders I thought what is going to happen next. When i herd that we had no food left that was disappointing but we had a talk with Redland. So we decided that they will stay till they get better and we will send a couple of our people with them to help build there homes again. Declan

ReplyDeleteYesterday was so fun because we did greenland and redland again its so fun. Yesterday it was a harvest festival and greenland and redland showed each other our festival. Im in greenland and we did a harvest song and Erin.k , Erin.r and Daisy sang it. We also did our national Anthom and Daisy and Ryan did that. I really enjoyed the greenland and redlands festival yesterday I hope we do it again. Aneisha

ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed doing Redland & Greenland. My Favourite part was being the security gaurd, The harvest festevil, Makeing fluffy Carrorts and watching other pepoles festevils, making up redland festevils. I really enjoyed doing Redland & Greenland and i hope we can do it again soon.

ReplyDeleteYesterday and Monday we were learning about politics so we split up into Redland and Greenland I was in Greenland. On Monday we did a huge Festival in the festival we did a song leading on to a dance me paige and Aneisha made up the song and dance but tought it to other people. We also crowned Jennifer because she was our Queen and we crisined Jennifer she also had to promise to be a great Queen and be respectfull to Greenland. Daisy and Ryan also made up a nashinal anthem it was really good. On Tuesday we did a Harvest festival. First we greeted our guests from Redland then we let then set out the picknit blanket. also we ate some paper food. Then me Erin.R and Daisy made up and song a Harvest song. Then finally Daisy and Ryan song the Nashinal anthem again.
I really enjoyed this and hope we can do it again.

Hi everyone we did a thing about a Redland Greenland it was fun I was in Redland and our president was Erland. Our judge was Brogan it was fun doing it and on our first day we planed what our job's were I was a festival planner also Darby and Caitlin was to so we planned one on Autumn one for Summer also for Spring and Winter. Then on the second day we planned a harvest festival. Me Darby, Lauren, Sofia and Caitlin did dancing it was tiring. I had a lot of fun planning. Kaylen
ReplyDeleteHi class 6 for the past 2 days we have been in our own little lands making up rules an laws as well as celebrations,songs,dances,national anthems and so on.I was in Greenland with our queen Jennifer.on the first day we decided on our rulers and they decided who the judge and there members of parliament where and then what the rules and laws wear but then we had a ceremony when the queen (or president) swore to follow the rules and look after the people over the special objects.In green land we had a branch of a tree and a pile of leaves to show we care about nature while red-land had a rock painted red.The next day we had a harvest ceremony when we celebrated the farmers and the crop we had grown for the year ahead but then there was a crises as a new people from the nation of blue land came and Greenland's crop had not grown as well as they thought but we decided to let the bluelanders stay in Greenland for a while and red land who's crops had grown great give Greenland some crop after a long debate. Then we went to us witch was the green lander and we first did our greetings and in our then we the red lander had to make the picnic blanket. After when they made the picnic blanket we all gave a speech. Then we puted food on the blanket. then Erin Daisy and Aneshia singed their song. After the song the queen gave a speech then me and Daisy singed our nation anthum. Then we all enjoyed the harvest and it was really sucsessful.

My favorite part was when we had our harvest celebrations in Greenland but I liked it when we had to solve the problem of the Bluelanders too. The Bluelanders had come to Greenland tired and ill but Greenlands harvest was not sucsesful so we had to ask the Redlanders if they could lend us some food. after a long disscusion the queen of Grenland and the Prime minister of Redland had a private conversation and decided the Bluelanders could stay. ReplyDeletehi class 6 i really enjoyed Redland and Greenland we got together in a group and decided who was going to be priminister or Queen. I was in Greenland and we had to line up in a line we all said why we should be the leader and then the people would stand behind the people we would like to vote for Robert got the most votes and then we made up the our rules and laws. Robert got a bit silly so we got to vote for another leader so again w got to say why we should be the leader it was a tie between me and Erin.r but then Cierra moved to my team so I got to be the leader of Greenland. Then I had to pick who was going to be in the citizens parliament and the judge. The citizens were Cierra Erin.r Ryan Scott Jack and Cameron the parliament were Daisy Erin.k and Declan. My security guard was Paige and the judge was Aniesha. Then we had to make up the rules and laws. If you broke the law and it was not that serious you would get a £200 fine but if it was serious you would go to jail. Then we started making some props like a crown some harvest food and a picnic blanket. When we were ready we got to make up an anthem for Greenland and a harvest song for the harvest festival then Aneisha and Erin.k made speeches for everyone and then I made up a toast. We also watched redlands harvest festival aswell we both made decorations for the harvest festival. I hope we do something like this again. jennifer

I liked the way you all got to decide on who was to be the queen, prime minister, judge and citizens etc. Good team work on deciding the rules and regulations for each land. Looks like you all had a great time debating and designing and playing all the different roles required. Caroline (Erin R's mum)
