Kirkwall's Last Straw

Today three of the P7s went up to Radio Orkney to make a recording about our campaign Kirkwall's Last Straw. Robbie Fraser showed them how the studio worked and recorded them explaining what Kirkwall's Last Straw is all about and what we are trying to achieve. Listen to the interview here at about 10:20.

  3. Going to radio Orkney was exiting and nervous at the same time because when Robbie Fraser started recording you have kind of got to remember everything and speak up. When we went into the studio it was smaller than I thought it would be I found the equipment really cool and they put RAW after a first recording so they know not to put it out because they edit it before they put it out. When it is ready to be put out they put TX after the recording. We hope to hear our recording soon we hope that it informs you and inspires you to take action. By Ellen

  6. I found it really interesting because Robbie Frazer explained everything about the radio and how the recording would work. we then got recording! Robbie Frazer asked us some questions and me Ellen and Kavan all had our parts to say about everything. We were told that we would come onto radio Orkney at the earliest Friday 2.2.18 at 7:30 and at the latest Monday 5.2.18 at 7:30. I really enjoyed it. Kiera Clancy

  9. Well done P6/7, what a great campaign! You all spoke very well on the radio to get the information across to everyone. Hopefully it will get people thinking about using alternatives to plastics. Audrey (Ellen's mum)
