Thank you Picky! We are very pleased to have had a reply to our letter from LOLZ and now the Pickaquoy Centre too, Picky wanted to let us know that they are making lots of changes to the kind of packaging and straws they use. We have already noticed the paper straws when we have been over recently.
We really feel like we have been helping to make a difference.
I think we have been making progress and im impressed that a huge place like picky where there is hundreds of people there everyday are cutting down on the amount of single use plastics like straws and how they are using vegeware packaging.

ReplyDeleteI was really shocked when Ms McKay gave me the letter from the Picky. I had to read it out loud to the class as people crowded around me. I was thrilled because it was my letter that persuaded them to start to stop using straws. I hope other people who haven't got letters get them soon and feel the same way. Jenna
