Ping pong challenge 2

What were we trying to do?
Was it difficult or easy?
Why?
Did we succeed at this whole class teamwork challenge?
Read the comments below to find out...

Making spills and structures

Our first P6 challenge has been to make spills and use them to create a stable structure, with good joins as tall as we could make it within a limited time.
This involved good teamwork and organisation, good communication and use of resources.
We agreed that it was about design and technology, science(materials), craft and maybe art too.
The skills we needed for group work were also important.
And it was good fun too!

Redland and Greenland

Greenlanders  - they don't all look happy!

Redlanders make decisions all together - their aim is to be happy!

Negotiations at the new border.
Hostile confrontation...

Bowling festival

After a couple of bowling practice sessions at school we had a successful trip to the Bowling Festival with some of our class members in the winning and runner-up teams.

It was nice to be in mixed teams with children from other schools.

We had to be patient and listen carefully to the information about how the games were organised and where our team would be playing and when.

We were playing on an artificial surface like a carpet and had to follow the rules about looking after it.

By the end of the festival some of the teams were getting quite skilled and competitive.
It was a great morning out of school finding out about another activity in our community.
