Getting ready for the School Fair on teh 6th of June has involved a great deal of planning and designing and skilled paintwork. The next stage involved marketing and display and pricing our products. At one stage our classroom resembled a very efficient production line!
This week as well as working hard on The Glaitness Herald we had two club golf sessions with Catherine Johnson of Active Schools. It was great fun and took lot of concentration. Read our comments about it below.
We finished off our pebbles and took them home.
It was hard work to get the fleece to felt and we got some 'interesting' results!

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed painting the bird houses and bird feeders. It was a great task because we don't always get to paint stuff like that. I would like to do something like that again.

ReplyDeleteHallo class 5. I enjoyed the golf because the targets where fun to hit. The stones where fun to make because it wasn't to difficult to make but my one fell apart. I have liked doing every thing on this post.

Hi class 5 it was fun doing golf and planning for the school fair but I really enjoined felting the pebbles. I liked rubbing the pebble and listing to each others peoples Technics. it worked very well and I liked putting soap an my pebble. From Mitchell

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed felting pebbles and the club golf and also the bird houses. I can't wait to sell the bird houses at the school fair. It was fun felting the stones but my one didn't work very well and then Andrew said that I could put my Mr Noodle thing in it and it could be a bed. The club golf was fun I enjoyed the second Session the best because we got to hit the ball over the bench and into the umbrella and we also had to hit the ball over the bench and try and get it to stick to the target and if you got it into the middle you got a snag. Then we putted it onto a different target and we also putted the ball and we stood on a spot and aimed to a flag and you had to get the ball to stick to the bottom of the flag.

Hi class 5. I had lots of fun making and paintng the bird houses. Doing the golf was also fun beacause I had never done that in school before. The two golf clubs we used were the chipper and the putter. I absolutly loved felting I really liked rubbing the soap onto my pebble it felt so smooth. When I was doing the golf I was proud when I got all three golf balls in the umbrella. I had so much fun. From Jessica.
ReplyDeleteHi class 5. I enjoyed felting the stones because when we had them in the bag it was really smooth and soapy. I'm really looking forward to selling the birdhouses/feeders because I am really wanting to see what people think of them.

Hi class 5 I really liked doing the bird houses.My favorite part of the bird houses was painting them and varnishing them. I hope that we get to do more of this only a diffrent thing to sell. I don't have any thing that I dont like about it but I absaloutly love doing this.
ReplyDeleteHi class 5. It was fun to make the stones. The water that we had to put the stones in was freezing! It was amazing how the stones came up like, though the felted stone was hard to make. Aria
ReplyDeleteHI CLASS 5! The felt pebbles that we made turned out to be so smooth. We also did club golf it was really fun I got 25 points on the putting bit. We were also making bird houses/feeders I chose a feeder and I painted a blue jay. Scott.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed making the pebbles. My one has a bits that sticks out but it is ok. I think that everyone worked really hard and spent a lot of time on it. I hope we do something like this again.

ReplyDeleteI thought that was fun wetting the rocks and then putting them in the cold and getting all the soup out of the rock and then we put them on a paper towels and wright are names on the paper towels with a pencil . I rely enjoyed varnish on the bird house . From Victotria
