Habitat in a tray

We have been learning about habitats and the animals that live in different places, and how they are adapted to their environment and the other animals and plants that they share these with.

Each group chose a habitat to make a model of in a tray. Each group had to show three creatures that lived there and explain how they were adapted to live there and with the other creatures.

Arctic.

Mountain

Rockpool

Rainforest

Woodland

Meadow
Antarctic

  1. Hi class 5. I really enjoyed making my habitat in a tray. My group did meadows and It was fun to plan our tray by drawing what we needed on a piece of paper. I also liked going to get all the supplies we needed. When we were making the trays it took a long time but we did manage to finish on time. I think all the groups did really well and I liked to hear the groups talk about what was in their trays and how the animals in it can survive in the habitat. I would love to do this again in primary 6. From Jessica.

  4. Hi class 5

I really enjoyed making the habitat in a tray. I did the Medow with Kacey and Jessica. I think we put a lot of detail into our tray and that we added some special features. We went outside and got some grass and turf for our tray and it made it look better with real grass. I think all the groups worked really well and even some groups added some water to their tray.

    Well done everyone :)

  12. Hi class 5.

The main thing that i found fun was seeing what we made and how realistic they looked. I was in the arctic group and I was with Scott and Grace and I think we all loved our topic. Only one thing went wrong The polar bears foot fell off into the water

  14. Hi class 5
I was doing the woodland as you can see in the picture. I enjoyed making the owl. The animals we had was an owl, a deer, fish and a squirrel. we didn't have enough time to make lots of trees. I think we could of had a bit longer time. I was working with Chloe and Aria. We had dirt in our tray so it made the tray smell funny.

  16. Hi class 5. I loved making the habbitat trays. I worked with Chloe and Kayla. I hope we can do something like that again. I was doing woodland. We had an owl, a deer and a squirrel. The squirrel is adapted to the woodland because it can climb trees and it lives in them. The deer eats grass and there is lots of grass in the woodland.
