On Thursday and Friday we did another experiment to do with
our materials topic. We where doing a fair test. We where in groups of four.
The way it was a fair test was we all got the same glasses amount of materials
(flour , sugar , salt and sand.) the same amount of water and mixed it for the
same amount of time then let it rest for three minutes. It was really fun and
interesting and we hope to do something like this soon again.

ReplyDeleteI liked doing the does it dissolve fair test. I chose the sugar out of the sand,flour and salt. My sugar dissolved and there was a little bit left. I thought it would turn white. Aiden

ReplyDeleteIt was so fun doing the experiment. I was experimenting if sugar would dissolve in water. This is how we did it First we had 4 cups of water in front of us Second we picked what we wanted to put in the water someone picked sand someone picked salt and someone else picked flour and I picked sugar. Then we poured them in but before we stirred them we guessed what would happen to the water I thought that the sugar would dissolve in the water . We stirred for 1 minute then we saw what happend I was right the sugar did dissolve I hope we can do another experiment soon

When I did this project I did the salt and the other people did flour,sugar and sand. The person next to me was Erin and she did flour. The person next to Erin was Aiden and he did sugar.At the end of the line it was Cameron and he did sand. When we finished mixing my one the salt had dissolved. I wish we can do somthing like this again. Sofia
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed doing the experiment and we it had to be a fair experiment or the answer would not be right. We used sand salt suger and flour the salt dissolved the suger also dissolved the sand stayed the same and the flour went to the top of the glass cup.

Hello everyone it was so much fun doing the does it dissolve me,Jennifer and Kaylen where a group. Jennifer wanted to see if the salt would dissolve it all went to the bottom of the glass and Kaylen wanted to see if the sugar would dissolve it did all of it was gone I wanted too see if sand would dissolve and it did not it went to the bottom and the water was a different colour it was so much fun!Darby
ReplyDeleteHi class 5 I enjoyed doing the does it dissolve experiment because there was lots of different materials to chose from these were the ones that you can chose from:sugar salt sand and flour.I chose salt because i thought it would be interesting to see if it dissolves or not and also i chose because you never get to see if the salt in the sea dissolves or not.Some of the salt stayed floating around everywhere in the water and some of it stayed at the bottom.Jennifer
