On
the 22nd of March we had our Open Afternoon it was all about Space.
We took lots of time and effort to prepare for it. There were lots of little
stations, like the Baking, Research and Development group, the coding game and
the space race and you can also leave a comment on the blog. Then there was
wild reading group and reading aloud and last but not least the space buggy
making challenge. There was also a Host in every group there was 10 in total
the 2 important Hosts were Tyler and Caitlin they made amazing little cards
(maps) and so the grown-ups knew where to go.

I was in the baking group and we got to bake Martian rocks (rock buns) and Asteroids (rocky road). I would like to thank Mrs Wrag and Mrs Thomson for helping us achieve this goal. I also think that everyone in the whole class did a remarkable job playing there roles. The reading aloud and wild reading group did a great job reading to the primary 1's and the parents little children also looked like they enjoyed it too.
ReplyDeleteThe best bit was everyone enjoyed it well... I hope they enjoyed it. Sofia
Hi everyone. I was in the wild reading and reading aloud group. What group were you in? It was fun but a bit embarrassing reading to the adults. Reading to the little one's it was fun not so much embarrassing. I would like to thank Cierra for lending us some books to read to the little one's so thanks for that. I thought that the open afternoon was a success. How did you think it went? Hope you had a good time. Kaylen

ReplyDeleteHi class 5 Yesterday when we had our Open Afternoon I think it went really well. Everybody enjoyed there group. I was in the Baking group the day before the Open Afternoon we baked Rocky Roads we called them Asteroids and then the morning on the Open Afternoon we baked Rock Buns we called them Martian Rocks. The Adults loved the baking and there cups of tea and coffee. The Adults got an hour to look around and play some games but sadly at 3 o'clock the fun had to end and the Adults had to leave and we had to tidy up. Also before home time everybody got a piece of baking because we had lots left they thought it was delicious. Jennifer
